Hypnosis
Hypnosis is not the same as making someone go to sleep. However, like sleep, it is an altered state of consciousness. Most people experience a hypnotic state without realising it. It is similar to meditation, day-dreaming, or when someone is so engrossed in something that they ‘switch off’ to their surroundings. It feels the same as that relaxed state immediately before going to sleep or upon waking. It is the subconscious mind taking control of the conscious mind. It is a partnership based on trust between the client and the hypnotherapist. It is not someone taking control over another person. A client will not do anything that they would not do normally or goes against their moral code. The way in which hypnosis can help is endless and only limited by the imagination.

Here are a few examples: Tension, depression, hay fever, asthma, allergies, ulcers, car sickness, stage fright, anxiety, agoraphobia, indigestion, stress, claustrophobia, arthritis, self confidence, positive attitude, impotency, menstrual problems, frigidity, premature ejaculation, exam nerves, driving tests, stammering, blushing, migraines, nightmares and bedwetting. Most people can be hypnotised given the appropriate techniques. The depth of the hypnotic state varies from person to person. Nevertheless, hypnosis is not suitable for everyone because of an inability to interact or establish an effective rapport with the hypnotherapist. Also those that are under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the sessions, those with learning difficulties, those with dementia and those with schizophrenia do not respond well to hypnotherapy for the same reason.

Past Life Regression
Past life therapy is a very effective tool for healing problems that stem from other lifetimes. This includes relationship situations as well as personality problems like fear, anxiety and discouragement. Often past life regression occurs during hypnotherapy but there are specific past life regression sessions available.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
EFT has its origins in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. It uses the pressure points of acupuncture but it substitutes simple manual pressure for needle. It is a simple technique that often provides rapid relief from physical and emotional issues.

The technique is taught in an intial session with me and then the client uses it on a regular basis within their everyday life.

Sessions and Cost
Sessions last between 60 and 90 mins. The client is fully clothed and seated in a comfy chair.
A basic medical information form has to be completed by the client to comply with my medical insurance,

£20 per individual session. Group prices on request.

Meditation classes
Meditation is simply the practice of focusing your mind on a particular issue. It is used to great effect with a range of issues and to cultivate positive emotions and mind-states.

Cost = £10 for a private session or £5 per person in a group session

The Gastric Band Weight Loss programme

This is a 3/4 session programme uses hypnotherapy to fit a gastric band rather than surgery. The course involves two sessions of preparatory hypnotic suggestions followed by the 'operation' itself on the third sessions. These are usually 1 - 2 weeks apart. There follows a fourth session between 4 - 8 weeks later to 'tweak' the band. Each session lasts between 1 and 2 hours. The cost is £75.
